You can still look stylish even when you’re dress code is casual. This might sound like a contradiction, because when you think casual you automatically think comfort and then style is out of the window. Right? NO! Casual DOES NOT mean you can wear ill-fitting clothing or that awful denim shorts where your bum sticks out. The secret is in HOW you put your casual outfit together. It might look like you have just thrown something on, but with these tips you can take your casual look to the next level.

*When planning your casual outfit remember DETAIL is key. As you can see in this outfit it’s all about the details. The pants are super casual but the white scalloped edge gives it a feminine look. I played with the white edge by adding all white shoes and a pretty lace top. a Neatly folded bow adds that final touch.
*Stick with a neutral theme – I stuck to blue and white. You can add gold or brown as these 2 colors work well with blue and white. Think golden shoes or accessories.
*Layering – when going casual always think about how you can make you’re outfit a bit more formal. With this outfit you can just throw on your denim jacket and go from the beach to lunch or cocktails. Switch the espadrilles to a gold sandal or even a wedge and you’re good to go.

Think about your hair – remember that your hairstyle must complement your casual look. Stop fighting that sea-breeze and go with loose wavy curls – I added a braid to the side to give it more character. A formal hairdo like a bun won’t work well with this casual look. Again detail detail detail!
Now for all the mums (like me) out there – yes, you can have a baby and still be stylish.
This casual stylish look is a win-win for us mums because you are comfy and can run, walk or even crawl with your baby, but still look good. Remember that you can have fun with your baby and make her match your outfit in a casual yet stylish way.

Minki and I match perfectly because we’re wearing the same colourscheme: blue and white. We are both wearing white espadrilles – again it’s all in the little things.
Because your baby is obviously super cute you can have fun with his/her outfits and play around with color and different styles.

Here my nails matches the coral in Minki’s outfit. Think about your nailcolor as well. a Little detail goes a long way…
Remember: It’s all the separates that ensure a casual yet stylish whole.
