10 Things to pack for your next beach holiday

We all love going on a beach holiday! Unfortunately packing for that beach holiday is kind of hard work. I don’t know about you, but I always end up packing WAY TOO MUCH, thinking I’m gonna use everything and then end up living in my soft shorts, bikini and flip flops, but you can look super stylish on your beach holiday, while building sandcastles with your little munchkin. You are looking for items that you can wear from beach to bar and EASILY change up with accessories. The whole idea is to relax but still look super hot.

1.The perfect bikini (for you!)

I am soooo in love with this season covered-up-but-oh-so-sexy bikini tops! I bought one in each colour! Mine are from @foschini. They truly are made for mommies! You can swim, surf, catch a wave, and build sandcastles without having to worry that something will pop out. All the while looking like the most fashionable mom on the beach. It also doubles as a top, that you can wear with high-waisted shorts or a skirt. The end result: You look fabulous and are left with extra space in your travel bag!!

2. The soft short

This is a perfect example of a soft short matching your bikini top. I just love this shorts from @woolworths. The dark red matches my bikini top, making it a outfit on its own. Sweep on some red lips and you are one hot beach-mama. Look for a soft short that match your bikini-colour and also flatters your body type. Remember: it needs to look fabulous but still be comfortable.

3.The tailored short.

Which brings me to my next must-pack: the tailored short. Here we are on our way to the local beach bar for some pizzas and beer. I just switch my beachy soft short for this more tailored short from @zara, pulled my hair in a messy bun and you’re ready to go. Yes, it’s the same bikini top in a different colour (I told you I got one in each colour)! Pair your tailored shorts with your bikini top, or if you’re a little bit shy, opt for a crop top for an effortlessly stylish look.

4.The bright item

Be it a dress, skirt, or jumpsuit – as long as it hurts your eyes you better pack it. If you’re afraid of the all out neon look, try adding neon accessories like a funky shoe or necklace. I went for a playful look in this shocking pink jumpsuit from @woolworths.

5.The little white dress

Blame it on the long white beaches but no seaside holiday bag is complete without the LWD. This season embroidery is huge, so make sure you are not wearing your LWD from 1975. It is important to update your LWD (mine’s from @lula) because it truly is just like Heidi Klum says: “as you know in fashion, one day you’re in, and the next day, you’re out.”

6.The cold-shoulder dress

There’s a reason the wrap dress stood the test of time. Update your wrap dress by opting for a cold-shoulder one. Look out for lightweight material, so that you look cool and breezy even in the warmest weather. Even better if you can find one in blue (it just goes with the beach vibe) plus the wrap dress could have been invented for breastfeeding mommies! Easy access guaranteed!

7.The neutral sandal

Don’t bother packing a different shoe for each of your outfits. You will just end up unpacking them again, without putting them on once. Make sure you invest in a pair of pretty, neutral colour sandals.
