“I’ve only got two hands!” I’ve heard that saying throughout my childhood, but never realised the true meaning until now…

These days I’m mostly resembling the old bakkies on their way to Mozambique (you know, that ones, dangerously swaying on the road, top heavy, loaded with everything from couches to kitchenware and even some chickens)?

My daily scenario…

I’m jumping out of the car, trying to get Minki out of her much hated car seat as soon as possible, because she is starting to hyperventilate (not really, but she’s acting like it), I’m grabbing my phone, the groceries and of course Minki, who is insisting to be picked up right this second. Okay, I’ve got the groceries, my phone, keys and Minki… Let’s go! Nope… just when I turned around to start the long walk to freedom (our front door), Minki screams: “Haaaaaasie!”  And there next to the tire lies poor Hasie. Which means I have to put everything down, just to pick up Hasie and start again.

I never seem to have enough hands!?

Therefore I was over the moon when Ally from 4akid sent over this awesome nappy backpack for review. This is not your average backpack, it’s specifically designed for Moms who need eight (or more) hands on a daily basis.

Here’s why I love it:

1. Hands free

Is it just me or are handbags so last season? My handbags are gathering dust, because quite frankly they take up the use of one arm/hand and I can’t afford losing one hand/arm at this stage of the race. Motherhood equals survival people… 

This backpack has broad, adjustable straps, which means you can casually swing it across one shoulder, or just put it on your back, hence the name. Trust me, it fits like a glove.

2. Pockets = 1 Organised Mama

There’s literally a pocket for anything. Inside and outside! Bottles, cell phone, purse, wet wipes… Now you can keep all your belongings in one place. No more looking for keys that lies at the bottom of your bag, soaked in water… Yay for separate pockets!

3. Great quality

You can actually feel the quality the moment you touch this bag. The material is durable, dust proof and you can just wipe off those sticky hands with a wipe. Easy as that!

Ps: The zips are bulky and perfect for a heavy duty bag.

4. It’s so pretty…

Yes, it’s the inside that counts, but oh my word! How pretty is this backpack? I love the fiery red because it goes perfectly with my red lipstick and swoosh up any outfit.

You can choose your favourite colour: Navy, Aqua, Black, Grey, Peach, and Light purple and of course red!

5. It’s the perfect size

It’s got enough space for a crazy packer like me, but you are not going to look like those bakkies on their way to Mozambique.

The dimensions of the Nappy backpack are approximately 43cm x 27cm x 21 cm.

Minki gave it her stamp of approval and immediately decided that we should go shopping. That a girl!
