She was a tortoise (hence all the green dots) – I still don’t know why? But lets get real: Kids get dirty – very dirty!
So I was actually relieved when Dove send me 3 hygiene related products to try out! 🙂
The Baby Dove Care Pack
The pack includes:
- Head To Toe Wash
- Rich Moisture Bar
- Rich Moisture Nappy Cream
Our thoughts on the range…
I love the head to toe wash because it’s one less thing for me to worry about! It smells really good and the squirt button is easy to use.
Quite important when you have a screaming toddler who hates washing her hair… #justsaying Oh and the tear free formula is obviously fantastic!
The moisture bar proof very handy… Minki is used to body wash and catching the soap bar turned into a game and afterwards she was squeaky clean. Her skin really was soft and smooth!
The nappy cream is amazing! It’s easier to apply than most bum creams.
Apparently so easy Minki dabbed it all over and refuse to take it of her tummy (although it was meant for her bum)!
So I think it’s safe to say we love the new Baby Dove Care Range!

My daughter fell off the bed when she was under a year. My husband came home from work and I cried because I felt super guilty.?
Aaaw shame Cindy! But I’m sure she was okay? Babies are way tougher than they look! Just the other day Minki somersaulted over her boogie bike. Her lip was bleeding and I felt so guilty. But two weeks later and she is fine! Xxx
Buying myself anything even underwear (I am 24 and wear torn undergarments) because every cent is for my baby so I bought my first pair of decent underwear for R250 at Woolies and immediately I wanted to die after I saw the perfect walkmates for my baby because I could’ve bought that instead. The guilt I had was so bad I wanted to exchange that undies for shoes so bad but I literally have worn my undies out…
Oh no Tracey! You need to take care of yourself (and your undies) as well! I’m not saying go and buy La Senza underwear but buying yourself some decent underwear is nothing to be ashamed of! And did you know that according to experts barefoot is actually best for kiddo? So when it’s warm let kiddo walk barefoot, save the money and buy yourself something nice! But Mom guilt is real! And it’s not fun…
The worst mom guilt moment which i experienced 3 times was when i had to.leave my crying babies with tje nanny when i had to.return to work after. Maternity leave.
That’s the worst feeling Priscilla… I still remember driving away.. crying. But it does get better (a little) 🙂
My worst mom guilt was when i had my 2nd baby about 8 months ago. Not being able to spend the same amount of time with my toddler. Made me feel so guilty and so bad, because i gave my toddler all my time before i had my 2nd one. Nowdays i have to see to the baby and his dad puts him to bed and sees to him in the evenings. I feel so guilty because i am not doing that anymore.
My worst mom guilt was after having my 2nd baby. I had to give most of my time to my newborn, always feeding him or putting him to sleep which never ends. I was not able to spend as much time with my 4 year old toddler. I felt so guilty because before i was the who put him to sleep and showered him before bed and basically gave him most of my time and now having to divide my time made me feel so guilty and i still do. I dont want him to think im not there for him or i dont love him because i cant do everything as i did before with him.
That’s such a difficult situation Fawzia… I can’t relate (only have 1) but can just imagine. We live for our firstborn and then there’s this little baby who obviously needs more time/attention. So guilt is inevitable… But I’m sure you are a wonderful Mama – so try and stop feeling guilty! Xxx
Letting my child bath herself as first time training. She just bathed with her clothes on.
But you are actually doing her a favour… we tend to try and do everything for our kids (spoon feeding)! and it’s not always a good thing… Thank you for commenting Ziningi! Xxx
I was so sick with flu that I couldn’t even make lunch for my son who attends creche that I gave him chips from the previous nights nandos takeaway. I felt so bad all day I couldn’t even have coffee because I had not packed a fresh proper healthy lunch for him. Also I forgot to pack the sauce sachets. But he came home all smiles saying he and his best friend enjoyed the lunch and I must send chips more often. I realised since then mums are not super heroes and we do get sick and we can be forgiven for cheating or taking the shortcut sometimes. We are too hard on ourselves sometimes wanting to be perfect and do things just right. Our kids appreciate all we do and love us as we are.
I love love love this story Loveitha! Partly because I’m the worst lunch box packer ever! 🙁 Every day. Not just when I’m sick. So you have nothing to feel guilty about! And oh my word chips (even cold ones are pretty good)! And that’s exactly what I’m trying to say.. we are way too hard on ourselves! Trying to be perfect all the time, but we can just love them and be not perfect. Thanks for commenting! Sleep tight! Xxx
My 1 year old son fell of the bed when my mum and I was having a argument, and he bust his nose and lips, it made me feel terrible. A day I will never forget but a lesson learnt.
Aaaw shame Nivesha… it’s such bad timing but even if you weren’t arguing it can happen. Accidents happen so fast! Thank you for commenting! Sleep tight! Xxx
